Cpanel®.net is a leading provider of a control panel for looking after your hosting environment. Not just your website but also your e-mail configuation, database(s), stats etc. These are just a few of the basic features of Cpanel®, there is much more to it including training videos built in.
Cpanel® works together with Web Host Manager (WHM). Web Host Manager is control central and this is where you create your Cpanels for individual hosting accounts. If you are not the hosting provider or a reseller you will not see the Web Host Manager control panel. You will just access your Cpanel control for your website and domain related functions.
The reason 'why I use Cpanel®' is because anyone with limited experience can at least take a whole Cpanel back-up. You can save this 'Full Back-up' and use it to move your whole account and files, website and email to another hosting...
